Scope and Contents William Serman Bevins, holding lantern, was the son of James and Susan Porter Bevins. He was born just below the mouth of the Rockhouse Fork of Big Creek. He served at one time or another as United States Marshall,Baldwin-Felts detective, ran a saloon both in Williamson and Naugatuck, WV.
